Journal 3: In Media Res

Phillip was on vacation, he left his house so that he would be on time for his flight. For this one time in a very long time he was relaxed and clean. No oil on his face, clothes or hands. He met up with his friend Eric who seemed to always be clean, he really masked his profession. The plane pulled into the port while Eric and Phillip sat conversing; they stopped for a brief moment and watched the plane. Phillip turned back saying “that’s our escape pod, we better get on before it leaves us.” They boarded the plane going to Honolulu, Hawaii. Phillip bumped into the pilot who stumbled into the captain quarters with a martini. Phillip turned around and accidentally bumped into Eric. “What the hell is you problem, I know were friends but that doesn’t give you the right to push me.” Eric said clenching his fist. They took their seats and listen to the captain say “we will be flying now so sit seats and have day” “there was no telling that the captain was drunk from the martinis he drank.” Phillip said. “But what are we going to do the doors are closed and we already started moving” Eric said. “HOLD ON!!!”
