Summary: John loved to swim. He enjoyed the sense of a rush that it gave him. The whistle was blown and he knew what time it was. He had to position his feet in the perfect angle so that he wouldn’t miss his step on the diving board. He took a deep breath and leaped in the pool.
Slowed Down Summary: The race was about to begin. Johnny spread his feet apart on the diving board and took a deep breath. He wobbled around thinking saying to himself “blow the whistle; come on I'm losing focus.” He jittered and heard the officials say “starting positions.” He clenched the diving board waiting for the whistle to be blown. The official blew the whistle and Johnny dived into the water.
