Scene: Hope

Person A and Person B have been together for years. Their friends and family believe that they have the perfect relationship. However, Person has been dealing with Person B’s lying and cheating for year and she just doesn’t know if she can deal with it anymore. Though she loves Person B, everytime she believes everything is going good and hopes their relationship can be simple, he does something that breaks her trust.
….. Person A is cleaning up the house when she finds a mysterious necklace
Person A: It must be… (She says as she picks up the necklace)
Person A’s Subtext: Now who is this for? Is he cheating on me again?
Person B: Really (walking into the room, not knowing what’s to come ahead)
Person B’s Subtext: hey babe!
Person A: I wonder (she says staring at him in anger)
Person A’s Subtext: Did anything special today? Where were you?
Person B: You don’t suppose (He says getting up in a defensive manner)
Person B’s Subtext: Does she think I’m cheating? She ruined the surprise
Person A: I’ve got one (she says getting up and then violently throws the necklace and begins to walk)
Person A’s Subtext: I’ve got a surprise for you
Person B: And then of course
Person B’s Subtext: you still don’t trust me! I’ve changed.
Person A: Better still
Person A’s Subtext: I don’t trust you, you’ve cheated on me before.
Person B: You are (trying to give her the necklace, but she repeatedly refuses it)
Person B’s Subtext: You don’t understand, I’m not the same person as before
Person A: Don’t (she says pushing him away and begins to walk away)
Person A’s Subtext: I’ve been through this too many times.
Person B: Oh (he says backing off)
Person B’s Subtext: I’m done trying to convince you
Person A: Oh (walks out)
Person A’s subtext: I’m done! Bye.
